The Waterfront Alliance and New York–New Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program continue to push for a climate-resilient New York and New Jersey waterfront as the annual City of Water Day returns on Saturday, July 15. Now in its 16th year, City of Water Day is a region-wide day event held across several communities including all five boroughs of New York City, Westchester and Rockland counties, and several New Jersey cities along the waterfront. The event celebrates the importance of the shared NY waterfront and features activities such as free kayaking, rowing and workshops that offer the community access to their local waterfront.
