HOBOKEN, NJ — Just two days after a branch of Bank of America on central Washington Street has closed for good, the bank said its other branch, in a historic Hudson Street building, will also close this year — but a new larger location will open at the foot of Washington Street. Bank of America at 1 Firehouse Plaza, at the corner of Second and Hudson streets, will close on Nov. 27, a bank spokesperson told Patch on Friday. The bank will then open a new spot at 55 Washington St. This location is the first business at the foot of Washington Street, and years ago contained a Barnes & Noble, followed by several other businesses.
