The third year of a presidential term in New Jersey is known for having not much more than another round of state legislative elections. But in Hoboken, it's also when a majority of the city council is elected, and this year is no different. Known as Hoboken's midterms, seats for each of the city's six wards are up for election, and many of the incumbents, who are critics of Mayor Ravi Bhalla's administration, are looking to defend their seats from Bhalla-endorsed candidates and others.
