NORTH JERSEY — The New York-based Chip City cookie cafe chain will open its first three New Jersey shops early this year, the company said Wednesday — in Hoboken, Newark, and Ridgewood.The Newark store will open on Jan. 28 at 2 Gateway Center, and Hoboken will open this February at 113 Washington St., the chain noted. The Ridgewood shop will also open this month, at 305 East Ridgewood Ave. The chain, founded in 2017, currently has 14 locations, including in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. The shop specializes in their thick, fresh baked "core cookies" such as chocolate chip, cookies 'n' cream, and dairy-free chocolate chip.
