The Hoboken Police Department's persistence paid off. A 14-month investigation by the department's Investigations Bureau, led by Detective Michael Losordo, into a carjacking and shooting in March 2022 has resulted in the arrest of a 20-year-old Bayonne man, Jaliyl Johnson, city public safety spokeswoman Marci Rubin said. Police say that on March 28, 2022, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Johnson approached a man in his car in a parking lot between 540 and 560 Marshall Dr., and pulled a gun out of his waistband and pointed it at the victim's head.
